Can I exercise after my appointment?

We usually recommend taking the day of your appointment and the following as a rest day, then take it easy for the following 10-14 days.

Please ensure you do not sweat on freshly tattooed skin to ensure optimum hygiene and healing.

As a general rule, anything that makes you flushed in the face is a no-go for the first week.

Is there any reason I may be an unsuitable candidate for cosmetic tattooing?

You must be 18+ years old to be tattooed.

As a safety precaution, we refrain from working on those who are pregnant or undergoing treatments such as chemotherapy.

If you have previously tattooed brows/lips/nipples by another artist, we require a visual consultation via email+photo before you are able to book a session. This is to ensure we are able to work with your existing tattoo and reach your goal results.

How will I look after my appointment?

Your fresh tattoo will appear a little darker and bolder than your healed result for the first few days as with any tattoo, you may experience some slight redness, though this usually dissipates very quickly. The initial boldness will lighten to the final healed result during the complete healing process.
A lot of our clients tend to really love the temporary bolder look and want to show them off immediately! For more information on healing, please view our after-care advice.

When can I get botox/filler around my tattoo sessions?

You should schedule any botox or fillers 3-4 weeks before/or after your appointment, only in the areas you are getting tattooed. For lips, you should schedule lip filler for 4 weeks before or after your tattoo session to ensure you are properly healed.

What do I need to know about healing?

You can find everything about healing here.

What is the difference between cosmetic tattooing and body tattooing?

Body tattoos are permanent and will usually be a graphic design on the body, whereas cosmetic tattoos are semi permanent and are designed to enhance or restore the natural features of the client.

Cosmetic tattoos will gradually soften over time (how long this process takes will vary client to client) to allow for adjustments of our enhancements over the years, as our features and personal styles change.

Areola/Restorative tattooing is done using a permanent Pink Ribbon Certified ink set and will not require regular maintenance in these delicate areas.

Can I get tattooed if I am on roaccutane or retinol?

You must cease using roaccutane for 12 months before getting tattooed. We recommend talking to your doctor for the best information for your personal circumstances.

You must stop using any retinols on the area of your tattoo 2-3 weeks prior to your appointment and avoid using it for the 2-3 weeks following your appointment, keeping it away from the tattooed area for best results.

Can I bring my friend or child with me?

We are unfortunately unable to accommodate any guests under 18 due to tattoo studio law and regulation. You may bring one person 18+ with you to your appointment for support if needed. Our studio is a small, cosy, very relaxed space. Please be mindful of other artists working on other clients. Thank you for understanding!
